This Hardwood External Grade Plywood B/BB is ideal for a range of varied applications throughout the construction industry. For many years, Builder Depot has worked with our plywood suppliers so that we can offer our customers hardwood plywood across our entire range. Being hardwood throughout (unlike some other plywoods available on the market) provides our plywood with consistent strength and stability, as well as greater resistance to decay. Our external grade plywood is suitable for a range of projects, both interior and exterior.

Key Features

• Hardwood plywood can be used in a multitude of applications, both throughout the construction industry but also in industries such as vehicle building and packaging
• BB face is similar to the B graded face, although larger knots are permitted - generally not used for decorative / aesthetic purposes
• Pleasing B face with BB reverse, suitable for clear finishing with varnish / polyurethane to highlight the woodgrain surface
• B face is considered knot-free, although minor imperfections may occur due to its natural properties
• Can be used externally when suitably protected - will remain flat and stable throughout
• Easy to work, with both hand and machine tools
• Strong and stable plywood

Note

WBP Plywood (Weather and Boil Proof): This has become a somewhat ubiquitous and incorrect "trade term" used to refer to some plywoods. It predates current statutory and building requirements and in fact only relates to the adhesive used to bond individual wood veneers together during the manufacturing process. For many years now the term WBP has been superseded by the EN13986 and EN636 standards, which define the required performance or service classes of the entire panel rather than only stipulating which glue should be used.
