This Satin Chrome FD Certifire Tubular Latch (76mm) is a tubular mortice latch for keeping internal doors closed, operated by a lever handle or door knob. Turning the handle retracts the sprung latch bolt, which springs back to hold the door shut once released. Certifire approved for use on fire doors, it is supplied with a satin chrome forend and a matching strike plate for the frame.

Application Instructions

1. Mark the latch position on the edge of the door, in line with the handle height
2. Bore the hole for the latch case and chisel out the recess for the forend
3. Fit the latch into the door edge and screw the forend in place
4. Mark and recess the strike plate on the frame so the bolt engages cleanly, then screw it in place
5. Fit the handles and spindle through the follower and check the latch operates smoothly
