This Thermoguard Thermocoat WI Steel Intumescent Paint is a water-based coating that protects structural steel and cast iron in the event of a fire. When exposed to high heat, the coating expands to form an insulating char layer that helps keep the metal below its critical temperature, supporting the structural integrity of the building. Suitable for internal steelwork, this intumescent paint can provide up to 90 minutes of fire resistance when applied in accordance with the correct Thermoguard specification.
