This high-performance White Intumescent Strip (10mm x 4mm x 2.1m) fits onto the edge of fire doors to seal the gap between the door leaf and the frame. It contains intercalated graphite that reacts to extreme heat by expanding multi-directionally up to 15 times its original size. The expanding material fills the clearance gap around the door to create a tight barrier that prevents flames and hot gases from passing through, slowing the spread of fire throughout the building. The seal meets British Standards and is Certifire approved.
