This Osmo Top Oil Clear Satin 500ml is a food safe worktop oil for wooden kitchen worktops, tables, chopping boards and shelving. The oil and wax blend soaks into the timber and leaves a hardwearing surface that shrugs off everyday kitchen spills. A clear satin finish with a soft, noble shimmer that lifts the wood grain

Osmo Top Oil is based on the same natural plant oils and waxes as the Polyx range, so the surface stays microporous and will not crack, peel, flake or blister. Once dry it is safe for people, animals and plants.

Application Instructions

1. Make sure the timber is clean, dry and frost free with a moisture content no higher than 18%
2. Strip off any old paint, varnish or lacquer back to bare wood
3. Sand the surface, finishing no finer than P150 on worktops, then remove all dust
4. Trial the oil on an offcut first, as the finished look varies with the timber
5. Stir well before use and do not thin the oil
6. Apply the first coat thinly along the grain with a microfibre roller, flat brush or applicator fleece
7. Leave to dry for 8-10 hours with good ventilation
8. Apply the second coat with an applicator fleece or a lint free cloth
9. For cupboard interiors and drawers, apply a maximum of one thin coat with a cloth
10. Clean tools with Osmo Brush Cleaner

• Do not clean surfaces treated with Osmo Top Oil using washing up liquid, multi purpose cleaners or a steam cleaner, as these strip the coating. Osmo recommend a base coat of Osmo Wood Protector where worktops are used in damp conditions
