This Osmo Gap Sealer Light Oak 310ml is a flexible acrylic filler for gaps in interior wood floors, skirting boards and joinery. It stays elastic once cured so it moves with the timber rather than cracking out, and it can be overcoated with Osmo oils and waxes after just one hour. Light oak shade, the closest match to new untreated oak.

One 310ml tube fills over 30 linear metres of gap based on a 3mm joint, making it an economical way to close up floorboard gaps and tidy the line where skirting meets the floor or wall.

Application Instructions

1. Make sure the joint is clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material
2. No primer is needed on non porous surfaces
3. On porous surfaces such as concrete, stone, cement and plaster, prime with 1 part sealant to 4-5 parts water
4. Check the joint is between 5mm and 25mm wide, at a depth to width ratio of about 1:2
5. Cut the nozzle to the joint width and load the tube into a sealant gun
6. Apply the sealant into the joint at a temperature between 5C and 40C
7. Smooth the bead straight away with a wet finger or wet tool, and wipe off excess with a damp cloth
8. Keep the joint dry for at least 2 hours
9. Overcoat with Osmo oils or waxes after 1 hour, or sand once cured after around 24 hours
