This Osmo Door Oil Clear Satin 1L is a purpose made oil for internal wooden doors and interior joinery. The oil and wax blend penetrates the timber and leaves a warm satin sheen that brings out the grain, while staying water and dirt resistant in daily use. Osmo code 3060.

Osmo Door Oil is based on natural plant oils and waxes. The surface stays microporous so moisture can escape, keeping the door stable and preventing the finish from cracking, peeling, flaking or blistering.

Application Instructions

1. Check with the door manufacturer that the door is suitable for oiling before you start
2. Make sure the door is clean, dry and frost free with a moisture content no higher than 18%
3. Strip off any old paint, varnish or lacquer back to bare wood, and clean previously oiled doors thoroughly
4. Fill small cracks, joints and holes with Osmo Wood Filler
5. Sand the door, finishing at P120-150 on solid wood, then remove all dust
6. Where possible apply the first coat to all faces and edges before hanging the door
7. Stir well before use and do not thin the oil
8. Apply thinly and evenly along the grain with a flat brush or microfibre roller and spread well
9. Leave to dry for approximately 24 hours with good ventilation
10. Apply a second thin coat, then buff with a lint free cloth once dry if a higher sheen is wanted
11. Clean tools with Osmo Brush Cleaner
