Mapei Mapeband is a rubber waterproofing tape to be used in conjunction with Mapegum WPS and all Mapelastic products to reinforce junctions and corners. Can be used horizontally and vertically.

Recommended Systems
Apply a thin layer of Mapegum WPS, Mapelastic or Mapelastic Smart min. 1 mm thick, to the sides of corners and expansion joints to be waterproofed with Mapeband. Apply the fabric side of Mapeband over the fresh layer of waterproofing membrane, using a smooth trowel. It is essential that Mapelastic products wet both sides of the Mapeband, also the rubber tape, for a width of several mm.

Technical Characteristics
Mapeband is a vapour and water-resistant rubber tape with fabric edging which is resistant to alkali. Mapelastic is elastic and deformable even at low temperatures with excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions. Mapeband is resistant to alkalis, acids and salt solutions. Mapeband is also available in preformed corners and gaskets for pipes and junctions in showers, bathrooms etc.
