- KA Tanking Slurry creates a waterproof barrier, preventing water ingress and seepage in masonry and blockwork
- Forms insoluble crystals in cracks to block water permanently, even under hydrostatic pressure
- Supplied in a 25kg tub, covering up to 7-8m² at a thickness of 3-5mm
- Suitable for both internal and external use, on new or old surfaces
- WRAS approved for concrete drinking water structures
Product Information
The KA Tanking Slurry is a reliable waterproofing solution for blockwork, masonry, concrete, and cement surfaces. It blocks water by forming crystals in cracks and pores, providing long-lasting protection. Ideal for basements, walls, swimming pools, and even drinking water tanks, it works on new or old surfaces, both inside and outside. Supplied as a powder in 25kg tubs, the tanking slurry mixes easily with water and is applied directly to porous surfaces, ensuring reliable waterproofing for the structure's lifespan.
This waterproofing solution works as water penetrates the damp porous surface, allowing the silica in the slurry to enter the pores. Over a few days, the silica swells due to contact with the water, sealing the pores. After 28 days, the surface becomes fully waterproof.

Application Instructions
- The KA slurry must only be applied to porous cementitious substrates like concrete and masonry
- Ensure the surface is clean and free from paint, bitumen, or any waterproofing liquids
- Fully saturate the surface with clean water to assist the silica growth. This is best done via pressure water jetting
- Mix 3 parts KA Tanking Slurry to 1 part clean water. Slowly add the powder to the water, stirring to a smooth, lump-free consistency. Only mix enough for 30 minutes of use
- Consider using an SBR bonding additive for optimum results
- Apply the tanking slurry 3-5mm thick
- Ensure the tanking flows into saw cuts at floor-wall joins
- Wait at least 2 months before using vinyl paints on top
- See the PDFs attached for further advice on the application instructions
