This Black Jack 905 Bitumen Roof Coating is a quick-drying, full-bodied bituminous paint with added fibres for reinforcement. The paint may be applied by brush to waterproof and re-seal many different types of roof coverings, including: Asphalt roofs; built-up felt roofs; concrete roof decks; asbestos-cement sheeting; metal sheeting, including iron, steel, zinc and lead; slates and tiles.

Black Jack 905 All Weather roof coating is an effective general-purpose roof coating that is resistant to most salt solutions, dilute acids, and alkalis - it is also resistant to wash-off by rain almost immediately, and is therefore ideally suited for winter use. This paint is specifically designed for general waterproofing in all roofing applications, guttering (nonplastic) and structural steelwork, drying to a tough black coating.

Application Instructions

• Apply between 5°C to 25°C
• Surfaces must be free from ice and water
• Allow sufficient drying time between coats (24 hours)
• All roof surfaces to be coated should be sound, stable and clean, i.e. free from loose debris, dirt, dust, grease and algae

Application limitations to note:

• Do not use in silage pits
• Do not apply to damp or wet areas
• Avoid inhalation of vapours in confined spaces
• Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely
• The product may bleed through any paints subsequently applied over it - apply a primer recommended by the paint manufacturer before overpainting

Storage

• Store in dry conditions
• Store in original container
• Store between 5°C - 25°C
• Keep away from sources of ignition
• Storage life is 24 months in tightly sealed, undamaged containers

Safety Note

This product contains a flammable solvent, and all normal precautions against fire must be taken during both storage and use. Store in original container in cool (5°C - 25°C), dry conditions. Keep away from sources of ignition.
