Paint & Varnish Brushes

Whilst a good paint is crucial to the durability, a good quality paint brush is essential for getting the perfect finish. Various materials are used for the bristle depending on the paint it is going to be used with; natural pure bristle is preferred for oil-based paints and varnishes whereas synthetic brushes are better suited for water-based paints as the bristles don’t expand when saturated. Mixed filament painters brushes are well suited for all types of paint and wood care. Use water to clean water-based paint off brushes and white spirit or a substitute for oil-based paints to maximise the lifetime of the brush.
