The Concrete Post Repair Spur is used for bracing or repairing an existing fence, without the need of re-instating the entire fence.
Product Information
Supreme Concrete Post Repair Spur is used for bracing or repairing an existing fence. It would be used in a situation where it is not necessary to re-instate the entire fence, or where a wooden post has rotted in contact with the ground but the rest of the post is in a good condition. It can be bolted to the existing post to reinforce it without having the expense of replacing the whole fence.
Key Features
Application
To fix the spur a hole must be dug out on one side of the fence approximately 2 feet in depth. A demolition bar may be required if the pervious concrete mix is hard to break when digging. Once the hole has been dug, check the bottom of the hole is level so the spur sits flat. To fix the spur onto the fence post you will need 2-3 coach screws which are 2 inches bigger than the thickness of the spur. Tap the coach screw through the pre-holed spur and screw straight onto the fence post. When complete, mix the cement and ballast according to manufacturer guidance on the packaging or you can use ready mixed Postcrete. Then simply pour the mix into the hole, ensuring the spur is level, until it reaches the surface area. Remove any excess giving a flush finish with the ground. Allow the concrete to cure for 48. hours.
