Product Information
The CLKS 452 Manhole Cover & Frame is dual locking and fully compliant to Part H of the Building Regulations. With a 35kN loading the CLKS 452 is suitable for applications where small trucks or vans will drive over but nothing bigger. Ideal for paved areas and driveways.

Part H
From the 1st April 2002 the new Building (Amendment) Regulations 2001, together with the new Approved Document Part H came into force. Part H which refers to drainage and waste disposal states :
Small lightweight access covers will in future have to be secured (for example with screws) to deter unauthorised access.
2.54 Document H States :
Small lightweight access covers should be secured to deter unauthorised access (for example children).
1.24 Septic Tanks :
The access should be lockable or otherwise engineered to prevent personnel access.
