Once Weathered Concrete Coping Stones are a wedge shaped concrete casting which is applied to the top of a brick wall. This creates a fall one way or the other which disperses water in the required direction. They have a drip formed under the casting which will overhang the brickwork either side to keep harmful water away from face brickwork. They also offer a decorative finish rather than plain brickwork and mortar. They can also be decorated to match existing property features.

Application
Firstly, the supporting masonry must be thoroughly cleaned and dampened. Using a bonding agent, you must then mix the mortar and spread it slightly raised. For a longer wall, it is recommended that you place one-two, 6 or 8mm diameter steel reinforcing bars secured in the end pillars. Before laying the copings, dampen their underside to guarantee good bonding to the mortar, and then press firmly into place leaving 1cm joints. Excess mortar must be removed immediately using a trowel. It is vital to use a straight-edge and a level to enable you to align the copings. When the fixing mortar has hardened, point the copings with mortar. To finish, immediately use clean water to remove any traces of mortar.
