Standard gypsum plasterboard, backed with a vapour control layer. Gyproc WallBoard backed with a vapour control membrane, used for wall and ceiling linings where vapour control and a plasterboard lining are both necessary.
Product Information
Gyproc WallBoard Duplex consists of an aerated gypsum core encased in, and firmly bonded to, strong paper liners and backed with an additional metalised polyester film. Gyproc wallboard duplex is plasterboard that is suitable for drylining internal surfaces. Available in tapered and square edge.

Application
Used for wall and ceiling linings where vapour control and plasterboard lining are required in one fixing operation. To reduce the risk of interstitial condensation within roof structures and external walls, a vapour control layer may be required, gyproc wallboard is ideal for this. It has a low-emissivity metallised polyester film on one face which provides a vapour control layer and improved thermal performance.
Plastering & Cutting
The face (ivory) of gyproc wallboard duplex can be plastered with either thistle board finish or thistle multi-finish. There should be the minimum of delay between completion of the lining and the commencing of plastering. This product may be cut using a plasterboard saw or by scoring with a sharp knife and snapping the board over a straight edge. Holes for switch or socket boxes should be cut out before the boards are fixed using a utility saw or sharp knife.
