Mapei Mapenet 150 is a glass fibre mesh for reinforcing waterproofing products and leveling/smoothing compounds.

Recommended Systems
The glass fibre mesh must be completely embedded in the waterproofing layer or smoothing/leveling compound. Apply the mesh as follows:

• With a smooth trowel, apply an even layer, approx. 1-1.5mm thick of the waterproofing or smoothing/leveling product.
• While the product is still fresh, lay the Mapenet 150 mesh on the surface and press it gently with the trowel so that it is embedded in the layer.
• Wait for the layer to dry, (usually 12-24 hours dependent on the product, thickness, surrounding temperature and humidity), and if required apply a second layer of the product. Overlap each piece by 5-10 cm.

Technical Characteristics
The mesh is made from glass fibres treated with a special primer which makes it resistant to alkalis and improves its bond to waterproofing and smoothing/leveling products (where use is recommended). Once the waterproofing later or smoothing compound has hardened, the glass fibre mesh reinforces the layer to protect against the formation of cracks due to movement in the substrate or tiled surface. It also makes it easier to apply and even layer of leveling/smoothing compound approximately 2mm thick and improves the systems resistance to temperature variations and abrasion.
