Registration

You can browse the Builder Depot website without registering. However, you need to register if you make a purchase through the website.

Registration is free. You do not need to enter your credit card details to register – card details will only be asked for when you order a product.

To register you must be 18 years old or older. Deliveries will only be made to persons who are over the age of 18.

You will be asked to enter your name, e-mail and postal address and a few other personal details, please see Privacy page for use of your details. You only need to enter your full details when you are registering. Completing the registration process only takes a few minutes and creates your personal account.

Once you have registered and confirmed your e-mail address, you can use your e-mail address and chosen password to identify yourself to the site, or “log in”. Each time you visit the Builder Depot website, you can enter these two pieces of information to access your user details.

If you decide to register with the Builder Depot website, take care of your account by never sharing your user details with anyone, and selecting a password unique to this site.

Each registration is for a single user only. You should not share your user name and password with any other person, or with multiple users on a network.

You can change your password at any time by accessing your Account Information page, and selecting 'Change E-mail/Password'.

By registering you warrant that the personal information you are required to provide as a customer is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. Should any of the information you provide change, you can amend it by updating your account profile online.

Placing an order

When you place an order through the website, we will send an e-mail to confirm that we have received the order. All orders are subject to our Terms and Conditions of Online Sale.

When you place an order payment in full should be made for all goods and any related delivery charges.

Orders placed through the website represent an offer to purchase specific goods. When you place an order we will send you an e-mail to confirm that your order has been received. We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason.

All orders are subject to stock availability. If we are unable to supply any products that you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that an out-of-stock product is part of an order and we cannot contact you, we will send what products we have in stock, refunding the purchase price of any unavailable product where payment has already been made.

We will keep a record of your orders which is available to view when you log in to your account.

Delivery Information

Delivery costs are determined by:

• The weight and size of your items.

• The number of packages required to send the items to you. We combine smaller items into the most efficient package size to save you money.

All delivery charges are priced excluding VAT.

Standard Products

(a) For goods marked Standard we deliver using an approved courier of our choice. Our deliveries are restricted to mainland UK with the exception of the following postcodes: IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, BT, IM, and TR21-25. We cannot deliver to these post codes. You should note that we are unable to send flammable or liquid products or items weighing 30kg or over

(b) Orders are processed the same day if placed before 3 pm on a working day. If an order is placed after 3pm on a working day or on a non-working day processing will be the following working day.

“Supplier Delivered” products

(c) We sell supplier delivered products and these are clearly identified on the individual product web pages. These products are delivered direct from the supplier and delivery times are dependent on their procedures but we estimate at 10-14 working days.

In Store only Items

Big and Bulky Products

(e) We deliver Big and Bulky Products to mainland UK via courier, products can be delivered directly to your site. All deliveries are to kerbside of the delivery address.

Local Products

(f) Builder Depot delivers large and heavy products locally via our dedicated fleet of delivery vehicles. We are able to deliver directly to your site.

Please refer to our local delivery map for large and heavy items to check whether we can deliver to your area.

All products are delivered to the kerbside of the delivery address.

Returns Information

Cancellation Rights

When you buy online or by phone, you have additional rights as a Consumer under the Distance Selling Regulations. This means if you notify us in writing of your wish to return an item within 7 working days of receiving it, we’ll refund you for both the purchase price and the delivery charge. Please make sure you take reasonable care of the item while it's in your possession, and that it's returned to us unused. Please see our terms & conditions of online sale for full details*

Returns Policy

We hope you'll be pleased with your purchase. If you should change your mind and wish to return anything bought from Builderdepot.co.uk within 14 days of delivery we'll be happy to refund or exchange a product providing it's in fully resaleable condition. Please see our terms & conditions of online sale for full details.*

*The following are exceptions to our returns and cancellation policy.

Due to the nature of these goods unless they are faulty*, we’re unable to offer a refund or exchange on:

•personalised made-to measure/order goods, or special order or non stock items

•perishable goods such as food, plants, flowers or items with an elapsed or short life sell by date.

Refunds can only be made to the original card of purchase or PayPal account.

Faulty/Damaged Products

In the unlikely event that goods supplied (including special order and made-to-measure items) are faulty or damaged, we will exchange the goods or provide you with a full refund including delivery charges. Notification of any defect or damage must be made within 7 days of the goods being delivered to you. We reserve the right to inspect all returned goods prior to agreeing to any part-refund, full refund or product exchange.

Your statutory rights when goods are faulty, or not as described are not affected.

Builder Depot takes your security extremely seriously. When you shop online with us, as soon as you access the 'Checkout' or 'Sign in/Register' pages - and before you enter any personal or payment details - your browser will go into secure mode.

To check if you are in secure mode, look for a padlock icon on the bottom-right of your browser window (if you are in Internet Explorer), or the site identity button appearing in the location bar to the left of the address (in Firefox). Payment security

To ensure that your payment details are safe and secure we have engaged the services of Sagepay to process all your card payments. When prompted for payment you will be transferred to the Sagepay payment processing page where you can pay by card or by PayPal.

We do not process, transmit or store any cardholder payment details.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode

For added online payment security your card payment will be subjected to Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. These services are offered by Visa and MasterCard, in association with the bank that has issued your credit/debit card. Payments verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode follow the same principle as Chip and Pin by helping to protect your card against unauthorised use when you shop online.

If the credit card you are using to pay for your order qualifies for one of these services you will be taken to a page hosted by your card issuer. This is a completely secure process - the information you provide is only visible to you and your card issuer, and will never be shared with other parties.

If you haven't registered before and your card qualifies, simply sign-up for the service following the online instructions that are linked directly to your card issuer, set up your new personal password once your card issuer has confirmed your identity, and continue shopping.
