The Speed Pro Light Duty Restraint Strap ensures fast and effective anchoring against uplifting forces including wind. The Speed Pro Restraint straps are used for horizontal and vertical Restraint for connecting timber roof and floor systems to a masonry wall. The Speed pro Light Duty Straps are used for vertical applications such as wall plates. The straps are bent at 100mm and twisted 100mm from the bend. It is advisable to use Restraint straps if stability is questionable as it is more cost effective than either proving a strap is not required or repairing a failed structure. The straps are manufactured from pre-galvanised steel strips with zinc coated edges. Hole diameters are 6mm and they are holed at 12.5mm grouped in threes, diagonally across the width of the strap.

Speed Pro Light Duty Restraint Straps should be provided at least 1m at eaves level not exceeding 2 meters. Vertical application fix the strap with 3 No. 3.75 x 30 square nails. If fixing to masonry use 12 x 50 wood screws plugged into masonry and ensure that lower fixing is within 150mm.
