Deckfon boards overlay treatments (Chip & MDF) are designed for conversion projects where the joist are covered with a timber decking and the ceiling is to be replaced. They can also be used to reduce impact sound transmission through a concrete floor. Deckfon boards are designed to be used in new structures or as an overlay acoustic floorboard that can be used on concrete floor directly as a floating floor. Deckfon is made up of moisture resistant Tongue & Groove chipboard with a layer of acoustic resilient layer.

Standards
All Deckfon products are manufactured without the use of either CFC or HCFC blowing agents and have a zero ODP. They are all made from materials that have been recycled or are recyclable (1). Incorporating Deckfon high performance thermal and acoustic insulation products into elements of a dwelling will help reduce the building's impact on the environment and will enable builders and developers to gain Code for Sustainable Homes credits (CSH).
